The Transition Luton Hustings Speech

The newspapers stated I created a stir during Transition Luton with my introduction speech. So here's the script I prepared.

Anthropogenic or Man-Made Global Warming - Lies, Lies, Lies.

Carbon Dioxide based Global Warming is a contravention of the Laws of Optical Physics. Heat is infra-red, a constituent of light and is only reflected at a boundary of materials of differing optical indexes, not by a homogenous material such as air. The reason the sky is blue is 'air', which includes carbon dioxide, scatters light, not reflects it. A greenhouse is surrounded by glass a material boundary causing reflection. When air gets hot it rises, called Thermals, and as the air rises it cools. Greenhouses have a roof preventing the air from rising and cooling.

In the sky those 'white' fluffy things are clouds, they look white because they reflect light and cause 92% of the earths warming! Physicists in studying cloud formation using Scientific Method found that they are indirectly caused by the Sun's activities. This experimental result is about to be confirmed by CERN later this year. So aeroplanes cause Global Warming? Not due to the invisible CO2 emissions but the 'con-trails' from the wing tips.

Global? The IPCC admits the South Pole has increased in volume by 8% and there's little evidence of warming anywhere in the southern hemisphere! The centre of the North Pole has decreased in temperature. We are told that AGW will cause worse weather, but that is not true. Weather is caused by geographic temperature differences, and worse weather by increased temperature differences across the planet, so there is no Global Warming but localised warming and cooling!

Warming? Astrophysicists reported global warming on Triton 1997. Since then global warming on Mars, Jupiter, Neptune, Saturn and Uranus! The Guinness Book of Records highest temperature is Libya 1922. Most Global Warming sceptics accepted there was some warming until 2004, the Climate Research Unit proved there was no warming since 1999 and Prof. Jones admits there's no warming since 1995.

According to the World Wildlife Fund's extensive advertising 'the bunnies are all going to drown'. However, Swedish Prof. Morner has examined the physical records of sea levels for the past 1000 years. These have provided evidence of 6 sea level rises and falls in the past, with the highest sea level rise 1.2m higher than today. Most importantly, between 1790 and 1970 the ocean levels were 20 cm higher than today, and since 1970 when the sea levels fell, there has been no significant rise in sea levels.

Carbon Dioxide Measurements - the biggest contributors to CO2 emissions levels are volcanoes. Man generates about 1% of the global contribution. So where to measure CO2? How about on the side of Maura Lao? an active Hawaiian volcano!

What happens if we remove the CO2 from the atmosphere? Mexico 1960s had a population to crop yield problem. The solution was the 'Green Revolution'. Since the 1950s we have increased our population by approximately 4 billion. Removing CO2 will end our high crop yields. So who is for genocide? 4 billion dead?

Anthropogenic Global Warming - Lies, Lies, Lies.

What to do? Criminalise Scientific Fraud. Fining the World Wildlife Fund about £100m for knowingly and deliberately promoting scientific fraud. Revoke PhD's earned for Scientific Fraud. Prison Sentences for the PhD supervisors and BBC members who deliberately sought to promote this Scientific Fraud.

I am a little confused by your claim that C02-based global warming is a contradiction of the laws of optical physics.

As you are surely aware - from your extensive studies in physics - C02, water and methane increase the Earth's temperature by absorbing solar radiation and infrared radiation emitted by the Earth's surface.

I'm having difficulty understanding how the laws of optical physics contradict these processes. Can you explain?

630 million years ago - when 'Snowball Earth' melted, the CO2 levels were 350 times higher than today. The cause for the melt - not CO2 - but cloud formation! Read a scientific article called 'Cosmoclimatology' by Svenmark

Regarding volcanoes. I refer you to Krakatoa - in a single explosion in 1883, there was 10 times more CO2 emitted than all of humanities emissions in the 117 years since! Are you suggesting that since Krakatoa there's been no Volcanic activity? No, it is not a 'regular' emission, but spurts, however those 'spurts' are significant.
